After experiencing the passing of each of our sets of parents, we decided it was way past time for us to get our financial house in order. My mother had been in a nursing home 7 years before she passed from Alzheimer's. The first time we were introduced to the concept of Long Term Care, was in a Dave Ramsey financial course. Of all of the things we learned in that course, LTC was the most complicated. Our Financial Planner set up a meeting with another LTCi Specialist but we just didn't connect with him and it became more challenging to wrap our heads around the whole concept and the nuances between different plans.

Sensing our frustration, our Financial Planner suggested a meeting with Janine. Rather than overwhelming us with several different plans, she did alot of listening and asking questions. She narrowed it down to a couple of plans, explained them thoroughly and then gave us time to mull them over and do some research on our own. We then went back to her to see if there was a plan that we could have paid off in 10 years so we wouldn't have to continue paying on it in retirement, Janine found the perfect Carrier for us and we are very happy with the LTCi plan we have signed with. We couldn't have done it without Janine and appreciate the time she invested in us.

Janine Tate was so positive about the long term insurance questions I asked. She was not pushy about me buying. She understood why I was being very careful making a decision. There were several different options to compare and eliminate ones that did not fit my needs. She understood that I wanted to discuss it with my husband. I started researching LTC insurance just out of curiosity after putting my grandmother in a nursing home. I am 41 and thought it was way too early for me to get coverage, but I just wanted to get some information. After talking to Janine, I realized that buying LTC insurance in my 40's was a wise decision. People who wait often have health issues arise that result in denying them coverage and/or pay a lot higher premium. I also found a plan that allowed me to pay the entire premium over 10 years so that I will no longer have any payments after I am 51! How nice it will be to have peace of mind financially as well as knowing that I will have options for care (Home Health, Assisted Living, or Nursing Home) based on my needs in the future. Janine was very knowledgeable and went over a variety of products and options with me until I found the one best suited for me. She is patient and always cheerful.
